For the occasion of 220 years of existence, there was a book published – TONAK 1799-2019. It is a source of inspiration and information about the hat history of hatmaking in the Nový Jičín region.
Limited collection of berets made of yak wool is something we are really proud of. Yak is a long-haired bovine which can be found in the mountain area of central Asia. Its hair is being collected by families of nomads whose life may depend on it. Yaks from Khagaï Mountains in Mongolia have to withstand harsh temperatures during the winter months which explains the outstanding thermal-regulating properties of the fibers. Berets made of yak fiber are as soft as cashmere, light and breathable, hypoallergenic, and much more.
