There are also families of nomads who live by combing or collecting hair of Yak, which Yak naturally sheds during late spring/early summer period. Each yak produces only 100 grammes of precious undercoat of strong, delicate fibre which keeps them warm during the winter season. Yaks from Khangaï Mountains in Mongolia live at high altitude, above 2,000 metres, and have to withstand harsh temperatures (-40 degrees Celsius) during the winter months, which explain why their fibres have outstanding thermal-regulating properties .
Exclusive beanie cap made of yak wool. Yak fiber is soft like cashmere, but above all, it is very warm. The softness, lightness and incredibly warmness of the beanie are among the main advantages of this headwear. Did you know that this cap is a 100% sustainable product? The yak fiber is obtained by self-collecting fallen hair. In addition, the fiber is no longer dyed and the cap has the natural color of yak hair.
